Love the scent for the 10 minutes it lasts on me

This is BY FAR my favourite scent for a perfume. It’s smoky and sexy and mysterious. But it does not at all last on me. I put it on in the morning as my last step before going to work and by the time I get to work the scent is gone. I have tried it over lotion and vasoline and neither make it last for me.

Mature, Sexy, Cozy

I received the Madison Marginal "BY THE FIRE PLACE" Eau de toilette to try out! It's not a new fragrance and it has been around but I never got to try it so l was so excited. Package is on board with all perfumes from the brand, simple yet stylish. Top notes: Cloves, Pink Pepper and Orange Blossom Middle notes: Chestnut, Guaiac Wood and Juniper Base notes: Vanilla, Peru Balsam and Cashmeran The scent is labeled as unisex. For me it opens up Very smoky... almost like if you are standing in front of a bonfire or sitting in front of a fire place on a leather sofa. It takes few minutes till I can smell other notes. But then vanilla and spices start coming through. The vanilla is not pungent like the way vanilla usually stands out in most fragrances which I personally like. I get a slight nutty note aswell which is very interesting and unique. The longevity is great and it is not even an eau de parfum...On me it lasts the whole day! This perfume projects very well for an EDT fragrance. In my opinion, it's more of a masculine scent even with the vanilla being in it. I think is so sexy on men and very interesting and unique on ladies. This fragrance gives off maturity and elegance in a bottle even though it still has a cozy scent. It's definitely a late Autumn and Winter fragrance for me. I get a lot of compliments from both men and women whenever have this fragrance on. In some ways it combines so many elements from winter season such as fireplace smoke, clove, vanilla, chestnut. It's woody and leathery smell is unique to my collection; as I am more in to ouds, sparkling musks, and summer clean scents but, I can see myself wearing it more often during colder months and for the right occasions!

Smells exactly like what you imagine!

I love how deep and woodsy the scent is! It quite literally smells like you’ve been sitting beside a camp fire! This is also a nice fragrance because it could be unisex. The bottle is super unique and adds a nice flair to my vanity. Also a nice price point for the bottle size.
