What it is:
A soft matte, longwear foundation with buildable, medium to full coverage, in a boundary-breaking range of 50 shades.
What it does:
Finally—the ultimate photo filter in foundation form. Born in 50 boundary-breaking shades, Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation gives skin an instantly smooth, pore-diffused, shine-free finish that easily builds to medium to full coverage. The oil-free formula is made with climate-adaptive technology that’s resistant to sweat and humidity, and won’t clog pores so that wherever you are, it’s going to work on your skin. Best of all, this longwearing, light-as-air texture is undetectable on skin—so you always look like you.
How’d we do it?
- Obsessive research to create the perfect range of shades for all
- Exclusive insights from the world’s top makeup artists
- Extensively tested for real life, on real women
We figured out that it takes the right balance of tone and texture to make foundation work on every skin type. We obsessed over custom pigment levels to capture your truest tones with a soft matte finish that’s just right—not too matte and not too shiny. The result? A comfortable longwear formula that lets skin look like skin. Made for all women to love.
- Always shake before use to activate.
- Pro Filt’r’s rich pigments need a moment to dry down to their truest color, so when you're testing shades, remember to let the formula dry completely to find your perfect match.
- Deciding between two shades? Try the lighter shade.
Fenty Beauty is 100% cruelty free.
What else you need to know:
“Foundation is one of those areas in the beauty industry that has a big void for women at extreme ends of the shade spectrum. There’s this middle ground that's covered really, really well. But then if you're very pale or if you're very dark, there aren’t a lot of options. And so, I wanted to make sure that women of all skin tones were covered so they could be included in what I created.”
Always shake before use to activate. When testing shades, remember to let foundation dry completely to find your perfect match.
For full coverage: Apply 1-2 pumps of Pro Filt’r Foundation on the back of your hand. Using the Full-Bodied Foundation Brush 110, dot product onto the center of your face and blend outward.
Rihanna's Way: For the ultimate pore coverage, press brush into skin, roll off, and repeat.
For medium, customizable coverage: Apply 1 pump of Pro Filt’r Foundation to the back of your hand. Using a damp Precision Makeup Sponge 100, begin applying product at the center of your face, or wherever coverage is desired, pressing foundation into skin and blending outward. For fuller coverage, add another pump.

Rihanna created Fenty Beauty, a brand "that includes women everywhere", focusing on a wide range of complexions that are traditionally difficult to cover up and identifying universal shades. Her vision: “Makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different”.
