Rated 5 out of 5 by Sommai from The Perfecting Primer vs. The Perfecting Treatment I have been a La Mer devotee for over 20 years, so I know a little bit about their products. And I honestly don't see why people are trying to compare the primer to the perfecting treatment, which is no longer available in the US. Does the primer do what it says it will? Absolutely yes. But why are folks trying to compare this to a product that cost three times as much? The treatment was divine, and I wish La Mer would just make smaller sizes that were more affordable for folks. However, is the treatment better than the primer? Absolutely yes! You get what you pay for! If Max Huber had been expected to give the stuff out for pennies, none of us would know about it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

By noon, my makeup is literally sliding in waves off my nose and is totally gone by mid afternoon, but this extended the wear of my foundation to pretty much all day and without touching-up. This is an absolute miracle for someone who has super oily skin and struggles with foundations not lasting and/or changing colour. You only need one little pump so it will last forever. Will buy again!

I don't wear makeup, so I can't speak to the product's ability to serve as a base or primer for foundations. I was hoping to be able to use it as a final step in my regimen to give an overall blurring and perfecting finish. The texture is nice, and it feels light on my skin. However, there was no difference whatsoever in the plumpness of my skin, nor did it appear to blur any imperfections, which was the only reason I added this product to my routine. I have not been happy with the results and would not purchase this product again. Perhaps it is better used purely as a primer.

When this primer came out, I jumped at the chance to purchase this as I am over 55 and need a primer before I apply my foundation. This did not work well for me at all. Especially for the price tag! I like bare minerals primer and will go back to using that one instead.
